I started out as a casual Alice in Wonderland fan but over the years have found myself traveling to quite some magical man-made places. Despite all the terrible news that keeps flooding and crooking our wanderous minds, there is a desire to escape the dread of reality. Luckily one does not have to build virtual worlds to feel outerwordly - to keep consumers spending money in the real world creative designers lure us in an interesting form of alternate reality: themed retail design. As a graduated sociologist I cannot unsee the desires of mankind that are being played into by large companies. But I love getting trapped in a good concept :-) I'll share bits and pieces of Wonderland as they find their way to our world on this blog. ♠
